Thura is such a friendly and knowledgeable guide! His English and his French are both really good. He made a point of making us discovering his country, the life in the mountains and Myanmar food. That's where we have had the best food to eat with so many flavours!
It was definitely the highlight of our stay in Myanmar.  |

The people I met in the villages along the way, the sights I saw and the cultural experiences I had would not have been possible without Thura. The things we did would have been impossible for me to do on my own. His knowledge of the area and connections he has in remote villages allowed me to have very authentic experience. He speaks very clear English and the local language which made communicating very easy. In addition to leading me on an overnight tour I had the opportunity to meet many different local Myanmar people through the English school he runs. The friends I met through Thura and the experiences I had because of Thura's and connections will last a life time. I highly recommend taking a tour with Thura and visiting his English school as I had a blast! |

I can honestly say that it was an incredible experience. I've been living in SE Asia for 6 years and working in tourism so its fair to say that I have had a lot of chances to travel and see places. I have to say though, that the time I spent with Thura in the hills was the best week I've had in this region. He's a great guy, safe driver and we got to see places that few westerners do. He safely drove me up into the mountains on his motorbike today to distribute school supplies to the children and teachers. The children were so grateful to receive a few pencils. I would encourage everyone to go on a trip into the mountains with Thura and bring some school supplies if you can. Thura is very knowledgeable and a wonderful translator! I look forward to my next trip to Myanmar so I can take a longer overnight trip with Thura! Gina, USA |
